I used them as patch cablesThese are meant to be patch cables. As such, they are VERY stiff and inflexible. I used these in my rack and getting them routed was a bit of a pain. I felt like I was going to break them, I had to bend some of them so much. These would be much better if they were more flexible, especially at the ends.Packaging was good and the cables work as intended!Packaging was good and the cables work as intended!Overall, this is a pretty good set of patch cables and have actually purchased a second set.The only semi-negative thing I can say about then is that there's more packaging than necessary when dealing with a bulk lot of patch cables.Pros:Tab holds cables securelyThe flex boot makes them easy to disengageCables are very flexibleCons:Way too much packaging per cable. With free time no longer an issue I decided to rewire my network rack. I used Excel with screen shots of the different component pieces to draw up what it should look like, which really helped me iterate on the layout. I started making my own cables, which got a lot better after some trial and error, but in the end I switched over to these to save time and have a professional and clean look.N/ASome of the patch cable is have purchased over the last few years have gone to the type of snagless cover that makes it very hard to remove the patch cables. These do not have that problem. I will be ordering these as long as they stay with this release cover. So far so good for setting up a commercial network at my place of work.
