My 9 month old is obsessed with TV remotes, And this is the first teething toy my baby finally likes and helps with his teething. Others ones he wouldn't use but this one is good . knowing he likes to chew on real remotes he finally got a teething one!!Our 8 Mo old LO has been obsessed with our "adult" remote controls since she was 6 months and loves to chew on them whenever she gets a hold of them! I had contemplated getting the light and sound ones but it seems that her purpose is to chew remotes and play with other toys. stumbled upon this set. The silicone hits the spot as a chewing toy and buttons / texture gives it a more realistic feel and they are also sized perfectly for babies. unfortunately it took our daughter 48 hours to "get over" the novelty and focus on other objects in the house now that she is fully mobile :) so I wish I had found these items earlier.There are three strong large teethers made of soft BPA-free silicone in this package. Each teether looks like a remote control but on the reverse side it can be used as an ice cube tray of different shapes. Obviously, I would not give this to a child with the ice cubes as that can be a choking hazard. Nevertheless, these teethers are great.They are easy to hold on to and have no sharp edges and nothing that will fall off or come apart. They are also engaging. However, supervision should always be required. I would hate for the baby to throw this and hit themselves or another child. For the most part, these are perfect teethers and each is one solid piece and super soft.This is made in China. The current price of $16.19 ($17.99 minus 10%) comes to $5.40 per teether which is a bit pricey.My daughter is infatuated with remote controls which is kind of odd because we don’t watch tv with her or let her watch tv (she is 8 months). Silicone teethers are great and these “remote” teethers are too. I’m a little concerned that the “buttons” may break off at some point and I don’t know that I care for the letters/numbers “printed” on the remote. It gives them a more realistic appearance, but I have no idea if it’s printed with safe ink. I’ll just watch for signs of wear and discard if either becomes an issue. On the plus side, these toys seem to be good quality and I’d recommend for teething babies since silicone is regarded as being safe for babies.This is a pack of three pretend remote controls for a baby. The ones I received are blue, purple, and red.The front has small raised buttons like a remote, and the back has larger indentations in various shapes.I like the indentations in the back, because my daughter likes to use that part for teething. She does chew on the front or edge some, but the deeper indentations seem to help her with her teething.I also like that these have a small hole in them, so you could thread a toy leash through it to prevent this from falling on the ground if you were using it in a stroller or car seat.Overall I definitely recommend these to any parent with a teething baby. My daughter is 9 months old and really loves chewing on them!These are what I expected. Pretty good size, cute design. I do not know why they have shapes in the bottom, I will not be putting water in them and freezing the or using them for playdough or anything so that part seems pretty pointless to me, except it collects water after washing them so you have to flip them while they dry to get them all dry.All of my babies have always and only wanted to reach for the "real thing" whether it was remotes, phones or car keys. Whatever we seemed to give attention was exactly what they wanted to touch, too. Nobody had interest in colorful plastic key rings or bright, cartoony phones. As for remotes, we'd reached a point where we were removing the batteries from old/rarely used remotes and just letting the babies play with the real thing.Of course, with those as well as with these great teethers, to really "sell" the act, you have to pretend to use them and then place them just slightly out of reach with a reminder to your little one that these are "not for babies." (A sentence I currently utter hundreds of times a day, I think!)One request to the company-- could you please make a set in basic black silicone, without the shapes on the back? At this point I think I'd buy a dozen! Oh, and if it's not to much trouble, could you create a boring black silicone rectangle about the size of a phone?!Yes this teether is PVC Free, BPA Free, Latex Free, and Lead Free. But the first thing I noticed when opening is the remotes all have dog bones and fish shapes all over it, and on the back all the different shaped holes look like a place you are supposed to put puppy and kitten treats for them to fish out, LOL. My observation could be completely wrong, maybe a coincidence? But honestly my 1 year old always wants the remote and this is close enough to the real thing to keep her entertained. But in the future if we decide to get a puppy or a kitten, we might reorder this product haha.
