This was a birthday gift for my son's 6th birthday. Let me start by saying that I promised him I'd tell you all that he named the boy Deku and the girl Ochaku. While that might seem a silly thing to mention, he doesn't name anything he doesn't love and he so loves this magnetic tiles road set. Frankly, I do too. Now let's get to the actual product review. The first thing I found when we unboxed it was a carrying bag for all the pieces. Good thing too because there is no way anyone is getting all 112 pieces back in this box! It comes with a booklet that gives you ideas of setups you can build but really, the only limitation to what your child can build is going to be their imagination. One of the unexpected delights from him playing with this (and his four year old sister joins in frequently) is that they are noticing things on our actual car trips from the game. i.e. "That's a stop sign like from the game! That means you have to stop!" Even better, they're seeing configurations in real life on those trips and trying to recreate them with the set when they get home. We've never had a magnetic set before and I wasn't super confident that they'd work well but I worried for nothing - the magnetism is strong enough to hold together but not so difficult that it creates problems for young children. If you're going to be playing with your child with this set, I'd strongly recommend you take a few minutes and check out some of the videos in the reviews because there are some great design ideas in there as well. Sometimes we supply our own inspiration but sometimes we check those out to see what others have built. There's some talented folks on here! The plastic is good quality and not likely to break easily and I'm not worried about either of my kiddo's hurting themselves on a sharp edge because there aren't any. While teenagers might be a little too cool to play with this while anyone's looking - I can't imagine anyone, of any age, not having fun with this set. I love playing with my kids but it's rare that I enjoy the actual toy we're playing with as much as I do with this one. One of the best items I've ever found on Amazon.
