Great product but it smells like burnt plastic. I’ve washed it twice, let it air out twice, sprayed it with the hose and let it air out but can’t seem to kick the smell… my cat won’t go in it I believe because of the stench. Hoping it will go away considering it is brand new. But besides that, it is awesome, light weight and easy to assemble and wash. For the price it’s ok. Easy to zip together. It’s for a neighbor cat that’s outside sometimes for some cover from the elements it’s supposed to be waterproof but have not tested it. There is no structure feels as if it will fall in on itself. But I hope it’s ok for general use for the cat. One open door no back door. I like the print. If you want something better they have better cat houses more structured I got one for my cats about 50.00 with a front and back door with flaps so def a price difference and so there is a quality difference.I put her bed in the house and she loves it.We're at a different house, dealing with hubby's stage 4 renal cancer and can't have our dog inside. This makes the guilties a bit easier to endure. She's now forced to be a outside pooch :,(Very happy with my purchase. Not expensive but well made. Will definitely keep the stray cat I feed warm in the winter.Dog ? itThe product description says this little house is for feral cats, as well as outdoor cats and dogs. It might be okay for outdoor cats, but I don't think it's great for ferals for a few reasons. First, I'm not sure it provides enough of a strong and weather-resistant shelter. It has no real structure, so it could easily be collapsed, and maybe even blown away, as it's fairly lightweight. I'm sure that could be easily fixed simply by tucking something heavy and waterproof inside in a way that won't bother the intended occupant. The other problem with expecting this to work for ferals is that there is only one entrance, no back or side door. While that might make it warmer, especially during strong winds, most ferals try to always have an escape route, and many wouldn't willingly 'trap' themselves inside a soft-sided house like this. For an outdoor cat, though, this could be a very nice respite from the cold, rain, and snow. It is water-resistant and sort of insulated, and there's a removable pad to cushion the bottom and further insulate it from the cold ground. It would probably still be best located inside a garage or on a porch...somewhere under an overhang to help keep it dry and protected from the wind, as well as potential predators and harassers. It can even be used with a pet heating pad! Under the right conditions, this little house could provide a lot of comfort and safety for a stray or a beloved outdoor feline companion.Oh, and the brown leafy design is adorable! It looks cute, but camouflages well for an extra measure of security. I wouldn't count on this to provide proper shelter throughout a whole northern, snowy winter, but for warm or mild climates, it will give a cold cat a nice, warm place to curl up and escape the elements. Especially for the price, it's a pretty good buy as long as you don't expect it to be more than it is.Cute little outdoor hut for a cat or small dog. It's mostly like a tent, a cat could not sit on the roof. It may be weather resistant but it's not weatherproof. We have it on the porch, under the roof overhang and it stays dry enough in storms. For the price, it's a great little shelter for an outdoor animal. Easy to assemble. This outdoor cat house seems like it is made from weatherproof material, but it doesn't have any support to hold itself up at all. The crazy kittens play all around and over this thing, so when I check on them again the top is caved in. The design is cute though, it's very easy to assemble and after I figure out what to use as support rods to keep it from folding in then maybe it will be suitable. Thanks and hope this helps!
