I think my grands will really enjoy playing with this toy.I ordered these as a meditation toy for myself. The variety of different angles provides as much challenge as stacking river stones, but with a little more color. I've got them in a small flat wooden tray to make something similar to a Zen garden, but without the potential for sandy messes.The wooden rocks themselves are fully painted, though not as brightly as in the photos, and the paint hasn't started to wear noticeably yet. Sizes are accurate--around an inch in diameter and 1 to 3.25" long, so they don't take up too much space.We ordered two 36 piece sets and this one is far better than the other. There are 5 unique shapes in this set. Two of the shapes have a small and large versions so there is a lot of variety in the set. My little loves the trees. Every block is smooth and has enough flat surfaces for it to be positioned on numerous sides (except the two trees). The flat surfaces also vary in size creating variations in balancing difficulty. The colors are bold and attractive when positioned together and this set really keeps my 3year olds attentionThese little blocks stack well. They Are the perfect size for little hands. The colors are good for both girls and boys. They are Made of wood and have a little more weight to them which is good for toddlers. We really liked these as we are trying to introduce more Montessori style toys to our son. If you have a toddler that likes to chew, I’m not entirely certain that the paint would hold up well over time. That being said, for what they are, they hit the mark. Packaging was minimal but with the nice touch of raffia with a thick cardboard box that will stand up to getting forcefully opened by a kid (also if you were going to gift a set, this set lends itself to that with the nicer packaging)I saw another preschool teacher using a set of these stacking stones in her classroom and immediately wanted some! When I saw this set, I really liked the variety of shapes and sizes included. I feel like the wooden stones are well-made. They make for great problem solving for my students (ages 3-5 years). My 7.5 year old daughter also enjoys playing with them and seeing how high she can stack them, so I think they are also challenging for older children. I appreciate that there are several pieces included—the set is large enough for a few children to use together. I would recommend this for parents of preschoolers and early elementary children, as well as teachers and care providers for the same ages.This is a fun set, with lots of stacking and play possibilities. The blocks are super colorful, and not too big. The shapes are really creative and could be fun to combine with more standard block sets but it's also great to be used alone. I love that it's wooden because it will be durable for a long time. The colors are the right balance of bright and various while being sort of in line with earth tones, too.The 'stones' look good and are great for playing or for display. The stones are assorted sizes and colon, none are too small to be useful. They are made of very lightweight wood, painted well, and look great. I absolutely love them. I bought these to keep visiting kids busy while the adults talk. I put them in a big bowl on my coffee table and they are irresistible to both little and big kids. They also look great just as a display too!I like to keep the box of wooden stacking blocks in the coffee table drawer so they are handy. The blocks are well made and colorful. They come in a variety of shapes. I find it relaxing and enjoyable to stack the blocks into various towers. It’s kind of like rock stacks but indoors. The stacking blocks would make a great gift. They are rather small so not the best for young children. I would recommend them for teens and adults.
