five stars for this box set if you are a germs fan!!!! anyway as you can see this was released on cleopatra records who as of late have seem to put more quality into releases like this as i have a couple now, anyway what you get here is a killer remastered version of the classic 1980 germs record that was produced by joan jett, my only complaint is for the clock in time on the disc there was plenty of room for more live stuff, outtakes or germs jams but this is still a nice box set for the price, ok you also get 2 nice 45s that feature different versions of classics like what we do is secret and the other 45 is from a live show in 1979, also loaded into this box set is a germs armband, a pin, sticker a couple of other goodies and a really nice 34 page photo booklet of some classic vintage germs shots from as early as 1977 through 1980, this record has been reissued so many times in the past 25 years i know this is not a must but i do say ( and i have been a fan since 1980) this is still not a cheap cash in box set, they really did a good job to load this up like as if it was released way back in 1980 per say, any real germs fans already have the music but if you are a collector like me and a big fan of late 70s/early 80s hardcore punk THEN GET THIS BOX SET FOR YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!! it is worthy of my collection that is for sure, the germs where probably one of the most intense punk bands out of the L.A area back in the late 70s and that was how they got on the decline of western civilization film and soundtrack.... back in 1980 that was my introduction to the germs and ive been along ever since!!!!!, the germs where certainly one of the best punk bands to come from the west coast some 36 to 38 years back, to bad they didnt last longer but darby had as much of a will to self destruct as GG ALLIN DID, the only thing was it somehow took gg about 15 years to die...............it took darby about 2 years. anyway this is real punk peroid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you wont hear any of that 90s style crap they called punk here you will hear what influenced the 90s posers like rancid, green day and the rest of that sell out garbage............................
