The battery compartment is definitely not water resistant. We’ve only used it for one bath so far but it would not shut off & had to reopen the battery compartment to remove batteries to get it to turn off & saw water coming out from the battery compartment so the toy is not made to last long or mold resistant. When installing the batteries I made sure it was completely tightened so as not to get water in but it got in anyways. You get what you pay for. Would be a lot more appealing if it played music. My 3 year old liked the lights & the spraying water but after a few minutes he’d rather just play with his dinosaurs & ghostbusters & was a little frustrated it wouldn’t turn off. I gave 2 stars because i didn’t spend a lot of money on it & it does what it “says” it will do but doesn’t function properly & could be better.Robust product but mine did leak water into the battery compartment once. Dried it out and continues to work well.This little bath toy is awesome! Just put 3 AAA batteries *not included* and your little one is ready for a light show in the tub. Once placed in the tub, it will alternate colors and spray a good amount of water. Nothing that will scare the little one or go over the side. My little guy wanted the main light off to better enjoy his light show. Of course, always watch your child around water. I am going to purchase another one and would recommend this fun bath toy.Decent item, batteries die fast.. only good for 3-4 uses, if used for more than 15 min at a time. Other than that, fun toy, kids love it.I was definitely sent a used product. Package was open, and battery plate was off. For “new” price, this was not new.I loved it was really cute.. too bad i used it in soapy water and no longer works..Stopped working after the 3rd bath. We made sure to keep it dry too. Don't know what happened. Pretty bummed it was cute.
